Camping in Red Bride of Persian Gulf

Hormoz Island

Hormoz Island is located in Persian Gulf, part of Hormozgan province. It is covered by layers of volcanic materials on its surface. There are many virgin beaches that go all around the island. As you walk through, you can see red and silver soils. Due to the red color of soil and the fact that it can be eaten, the sea is also known as bloody sea and the beach is known as Edible beach.
If you take a boat tour through the ocean you can see dolphins and aquarium fishes all around you. There are mountains of salt as well as rainbow mountains (The soil in Hormoz Island is consist of almost 52 colors). Please, make sure you do not take any soil from the beach with you as there are handmade bottles of the soils being sold by the local.
For travelling to Hormoz Island, you must get to the Qeshm Island first. There are lots of ships and boats that will take you there directly.
There are taxis at the entrance of the Island that you must take. You may also find some people speaking English as well (if you do not want to use your tour guide). It will cost about 15-20$ for the whole day. You can ask the driver to provide food for your lunch. It may cost you nothing and there is nothing to be afraid of. They are very nice and friendly and just look forward to inviting you.
You may spend a night there in a hotel or in tents and if you could, a night camping there surely would be a memorable night in your life.

Skiing in White Valleys

Dizin Ski Resort

If you are travelling to Asia for winter sports, and you are a ski lover, never lose this ski resort. Dizin Ski Resort located at North of Tehran (about two hours’ drive). The slope is nice, long and diverse in terms of types of skiing you may like. It is also very wide and very unlikely you can visit all slopes in one day. If you want to spend a night there, there are lots of acceptable restaurants and a big hotel just close.
From the top of the slopes you can see summit of Mount Damavand, the highest peak of Iran with 6571 meters height from sea level. Best seasons are from December to early May. Fridays are too crowded as it is public Iranian weekend holiday.
There are two ways to reach Dizin. The quickest way is directly passing through the resort of Shemshak but this part is often closed due to the huge amount of snow. The safest way is through Karaj and it takes about 2 hours. So, before you leave never forget to check the weather and snow forecast specially if you are travelling through the direct route.
A day pass for using the resort costs about 15-20$ (could be more on weekend) and a snowboard can be rented for 10-15 $ but it can go up to 30$ depending on quality and the place you rent if from.
There are also taxis there if you don’t want to use a tour and they can take you either back to Tehran or directly to another ski resort (Shemshak) which is directly behind. It is steeper and very good for experienced skiers.

Ancient Iran VS Modern Iran

Naqshe-Jahan Square
(Meydane- Imam)

If you are in love, you have to visit this square with your partner. You will fall in love in this amazing place. Nothing can describe the greatness, beauty and magnificence of it. Just you must be there and experience it and feel the amazement.
Naqshe jahan square is located at the city center of Esfahan. It has its own historical background and one of the spectacular attractions of Isfahan. It is designated as a universal heritage site by the UNESCO.
Imam Mosque, Aliqapu Palace, Sheikh Lotfollah Mosque and Qeisarieh portal are all located around the square. There are lots of historical stories beyond all of them which you must find yourself. As you walk through you can see a wide range of handicraft shops all around you such as: Carpet, copper, enamel, calico, miniatures and etc. The best and most fun part is that you can actually watch these works of art being created in front of you. You can find samovars, antique Qajar silver cup, old tile and many other staff like kilims from silk to wool, bright and colorful to soft neutral or dark. There are also many traditional restaurants where you can taste traditional Esfahan food, Beryani.
There are also horse chariots that will take you around the square and it costs 5$(more or less depending on time you travel there).
If you plan to visit Esfahan, this place is a must-go. It’s worth coming to Esfahan purely to this. It goes back to 100 years ago but still looks attractive. There you can find yourself both in ancient Iran and modern one. If you visit this place you go back in a heartbeat and long to see the wonders of this beautiful place once more.

Where Sea Meets Desert

Darak Village

You can rarely find places where sea meets the desert and Darak village is one of them which is not very hard to reach to.
Darak village in Sistan Baluchistan province, southeastern Iran, is one of the regions with most beautiful and untouched beaches. Various tropical trees grow on the Darak coast a few yard from the sea. By digging a well two meters deep, sweet clear water can be reached.
To top its natural attractions, surfing, boating, fishing, swimming, and other water sports are available on this beautiful beach where you can see the best sunrise and sunsets ever.
The weather is mostly springy and the monsoon winds from the sea make the summers cooler as compared to other nearby areas. You can visit there at any season of the year but don’t forget to check the weather before stating your trip. Since it is a very small village make sure you use a tour or a tour guide. For reaching the area you can go via road and air but never forget to ask a tour or a tour guide to help you out. Since there isn’t supermarket having all you need, make sure to take your needs with you. Don’t forget that littering is extremely prohibited there and if you give your trashes to local, you will receive some goodies instead.
Adding the cliffs, corals, and slightly sandy beaches together with the forest and sea all in one place makes this place, one of the most unique sight not to be missed.

Iran's 2500-years History

Persepolis
(Takht-e-Jamshid)

Persepolis, a UNESCO heritage site which was destroyed by Alexander the Great is the ancient neighbor of Shiraz, and the richest city under the sun. It was the capital of the Achaemenid Empire. It was one of the Persia’s capital and it has its own history. What is so sticking about the architecture is not about how grand or detailed it is but how delicately it was influenced by arts of construction from all around the world.
As you climb the main stairway, you will be staggered by the view of the nation’s gate built by the Empire. There is very little restored there here and some parts seem like they have been just carved out of the stone. Don’t be surprised by all these details, this is all rather because Persepolis was lost and covered by sand foe centuries before it was excavated. Almost everything you see is at its original state, something that is not easily found in the world nowadays.
You can spend a full day there, so you can see every part or it. But the best time for visiting is early morning or afternoon since the warmth would be a bit unbearable. If you are visiting during summer, be aware of the sun, there is hardly any shade to be found here don’t forget hats and water. There are different restaurants with delicious food as well as different shops that sell antiques.
If you are history lover, you should really read further before visiting this place. It makes such a huge difference and enriches the experience in so many ways. Even if you’ve booked a guided tour, which you should, don’t just go there out of the dark.
